The Gillum Family

Mike Gillum has had his hands in virtually every aspect of rodeo. A bullriding veteran of fourteen years, he has many career highlights–Reserve Bull Riding Champion, Finals Director, and Judge of the year. He has served on the Board of Directors for several rodeo associations and also is a former president of BullRiders of America and the founder of the North American Bullriding Association. Mike, who is well known for his elaborate and original openings, was one of the first producers to incorporate pyrotechnics into rodeo events.

Mary Beth is assistant Vice president of Boone County National Bank. She also manages all rodeo entries, event books, and daily accounting of Outlaw Rodeo. She is a 9x MRCA Finals Secretarty.

Daughter, Amy Gillum attends Truman State University where is is on the equestrian team. Throughout high school she served proudly on Student Council,was a cheerleader, and awarded member of FFA. Amy is the official flag carrier and timed event cattle wrangler at all Outlaw Events.

The McCollum Family

At only 32, Lance McCollum is a seasoned rodeo veteran. Before becoming contractor, Lance had been a professional bullfighter for 10 years. He was named Bullfighter of the year in the National Federation of Professional Bullriders in 1997, 1998, and 2000.

McCollum manages all the rodeo livestock, co-ordinates chute, pen, and arena transportation, set up and tear down. He also works every Outlaw event as pick-up man. McCollum was ranch raised and is a keen study of livestock is evident in the incredible performance of Outlaw’s award winning stock.

Why keeping up with two daughters, Kacey, 10 and Emma, 5, McCollum’s wife Joey is an RN and works at St. Joseph West Hospital in St. Louis, Mo. Joey also manages the Outlaw payroll.

The McCollum family, including 75 head of cattle, bulls, and broncs, make their home on the 5J Ranch near Bowling Green, Mo.
